Desert rose seems like a very specific color, but it’s actually quite versatile—it can complement pretty much any autumnal color scheme. It’s a chameleon color, so much so that the clean nail care brand Mini Lux Incorporating a pink shade among their assortment of charcoal, taupe, and chocolate, her fall collection is aptly titled “New Noters.”
“People will gravitate toward this color because it pairs well with gray, brown, and navy, which are staples for fall 22,” he says. Donna Charloff, Director of Service Operations at MiniLuxe. Just like a flower blooming in a vast, dry desert, a dusty pink shade can really stand out against a neutral silhouette. “It’s elegant and timeless without being too edgy,” she adds.
The shade also pays homage to the equestrian-inspired Western style (the name itself makes me want a prairie dress and a pair of sturdy cowboy boots), which is set to dominate fall wardrobes this year. The Barbiecore aesthetic is also here to stay, but if you’re not into a bright pink outfit, desert rose can be a more muted but on-trend alternative.
