Hear a new episode of The Things I Dig! From the Netflix show, we loved my new bag!
The things I dig
New barstools
These are bar stools from my sister! I passed them on to my mom who passed them on to me.
I previously had the same style of seating in white, which I purchased when we moved into this house. I think this is a great example of when I became so obsessed with whites and neutrals. They just mixed (which I guess was the point at the time) but I like the way the blues pop out so much more!
Virgin Margs
Speaking of bars, I’m not an alcoholic, but I’m pretty used to having a drink at happy hour. Water and electricity often do not curb food cravings. Enter: the virgin margarita! When I was pregnant with birch, I sipped it all summer. The salted edge is key! And jalapeño limeade plus one jalapeño pickle brings great flavor. A slice of fresh lemon compliments it.
Buta Box Breeze
This new discovery by the Bota Box is also in the Low Alcohol Chronicles. The Breeze line contains 8% alcohol, so it has less alcohol and calories than regular wine. Normally I don’t care about “diluted” drinks, but I think it still tastes good!! Best of all, it’s a lot cheaper than cans (which is why I buy it). A great summer drink when you don’t want to get dehydrated.
modern and elegant
My stylish friend, Cindy, had a this bag At the gym last week. I literally donated, donated, or destroyed all of my big bags. It’s time for a new one!
Love that this can be worn as a backpack, over the shoulder and as a crossbody bag! The pockets are great, it can hold a water bottle and a laptop, and it’s not too heavy.
It came with a rainbow belt, and I added the adjustable pastel belt to my purchase. Love her! Check out all the colors And other similar bag designs.
Our great national parks
Thomas and I finished Ozark and started a new show just the opposite (although the killer whale scene reminded me of something you see in Ozark!): Our great national parks. The show is narrated by Barack Obama and is one of the best “nature shows” I have ever seen. Thomas and I often comment that we have no idea how the directors captured the shots – either the proximity to the animals or the behaviors they were able to capture in the film. I definitely recommend watching it.
New Financial Wellness App: Stackin’
sponsored by Stackin’
You guys know I love budgeting, but not everyone likes spreadsheets! Your relationship with money goes beyond math – it takes work as well as your personal relationships! But if your basic relationship with money is broken, it is unlikely that you will be able to improve your financial well-being with just a budget or a spreadsheet. I was addicted to the money podcast I will teach you to be rich And I loved hearing Ramit talk about the psychology of money, a deep talk, often going back to childhood. Hence, I love the concept behind Stackin’!
stakin It is a new financial wellness app that digs deeper into your habits and behaviors to find out why you make the financial decisions you make and helps you try to change those who have. Some of the in-app features include a quiz to help you clarify your relationship with money, see where you spend and how it makes you feel, doing daily therapy-based activities to help you change your patterns, and even talking to a financial coach to delve into your core beliefs.
You can now access it with the extension 7-day free trial!

New glass bottles
I used to have all of my Pyrex food storage containers, but one by one it got damaged or lost. We are back to deformed plastic cans. So I bought on Prime Day This new glass setAnd I was really happy with it!! I only wanted two sizes to reduce lid confusion, and needed to stack them neatly in my food storage drawer. They’re lighter than you might think, and so far we’ve loved the locking lids!
Favorite electrolytes
Someone recently asked me what are my favorite electrolytes and my answer is Ultima! These have the best taste, and are made with stevia. I also like that they don’t have food dye colors (red from beet juice). as I give n Excellent, but I don’t really care about the dizziness in my water bottle (it could explode!)
I recently ordered some LMNT Having read about them on Teri’s blog, I can’t wait to try to compare them.
MagicLinen Leaves
magiklinn He sent me a set of linen and sun sheets and they are so cute! Why linen? You can read about the sustainability of flax over here. I didn’t actually realize it was such a great option, but MagicLinen is a company that puts the planet first while making your bed the most comfortable ever at the same time.
I’ve never actually slept in linen sheets before, but I loved it magiklinn Duvet cover for years. The peachy leaf color coordinates well with our blue quilt.
How were they? Felt like I was sleeping in France! I think linen takes a minute to get used to. They have some texture to it and feel very natural compared to the look of manufactured panels. But I liked its weight, almost like a heavy blanket, and I wasn’t hot at all. It was very comfortable and feels really good.
Lake Pajama and Robe
Also on the comfortable front, I wanted a bunch of Lake (Oh my God I always write kali when I write lake!PJs for ages. But the price point has always held me back. But during their summer sale I bought a set and I love them!!! These would make a great gift for anyone going through tough times or as a Mother’s Day gift.
I also bought a file New summer dress 40% off to replace the shirt I bought to be my hospital gown when Mazen was born (crying!) and it ripped, so I replaced it. For reference, I wear a jacket small in pajamas and medium in robe. I don’t recommend sizing up – I could have worn a little one in the robe too!
