It’s that time of year…for cozy stuff, red wine, and more!
That time of the year
Warm days and cold nights! Birch loves him JJ Cole Bundlem for his stroller. He goes down and covers as much as he can.
It’s very warm when we get to school. And I sweat pleasantly from walking – haha.
I hope to walk during the winter. We tend to walk when the temperature is above 30 degrees and there is no snow on the ground.
Halloween Summary
Despite it raining when we started going out for trick-or-treating, Halloween was a hit!
Mazen and his companions left two houses in front of us all night.
It’s the time of year when candy is everywhere!
Our dentist gave us good advice: Instead of rationing them all winter, especially after dinner before bed, which is horrible for teeth, let them have what they want for one week and then do the Halloween Challenge = unlimited candy in 20 minutes. Then the rest is donated. I like this!
Grape + Granola
A strange combination, but I got into it. Grapes are awesome now!
I’ve also been into cheese making. It has been underestimated!

Overnight oats
With banana and pecan.

pear too
Pears are also very good now! And square oats are my favorite birch and cereal.
The Return of Great Harvest Cinnamon Flakes
Hello old friend.
end of sport
The baseball and golf season is over. Football was made for us.
Mazen really loves baseball, and we’re looking forward to him getting some lessons over the winter.

I won’t miss the Saturday morning rush.
Breakfast in the field. Overnight oats are always a quick breakfast!

gaga for gaga
When baseball is out of season, gaga is in! This is Mazen’s second favorite sport. He stays after school to play.

Dark and Jordi
I’m obsessed with this Cerveza Athletica from Athletic Brewing!! It tastes like Dos Equis and is perfect with lemon. Best non-alcoholic drink ever! You can get 10% off if you order using my link! It’s also featured in Whole Foods. There are so many flavors!

I also bought a pumpkin beer, Dark and Gourdy. Unfortunately I didn’t like this because it’s braver than anything else. I don’t really like grit.

Lunch In / Lunch Out
I made myself some fried chicken of the week simply seasoned with simple roasted garlic and seasoned peppers.

Giant chicken salad + leftover cornbread

Today’s date for Eid!

Mezze is my all-time favorite “dish place”

Luxurious dinner for Thomas
I’ve been saving this special wine from King Family Vineyards for a long time. We finally opened it! Best wine I’ve had all year.

Luxury Italian Night
Thomas made his famous stuffed shells to go with it.

More delicious dinner
Blue Apron Dijon Salmon

Pork Enchiladas

Blue Apron Cajun Marinated Salmon
I order the salmon entree every week because we all love salmon, even maze.

random
I have no idea what this is haha. I would say lunch because of the chips except for the wine. But I think it was actually a red wine from NA I tried with lunch! The bonus of eating something non-alcoholic is that you can have it at any time of the day. Unfortunately, I haven’t found an NA red wine that I think is decent enough to reorder. I have an NA blog post coming for dry January!

Cozy season
I love this fox jam from the old navy!
