#10 Claimed benefits of vitamin k2: Should you take a supplement?
This video just came out and has already become one of the most popular videos of the year. To summarize, there is no good evidence that vitamin K has benefits for the bones, brain, or heart beyond blood clotting function. And even if such evidence emerges, we can still get all the vitamin K we need from eating greens, as there are no special requirements for vitamin K2. Furthermore, if some evidence emerges of some unique benefits from K2, it is our microbiome making K2 from the K1 we get from greens. And even if we have a problem with our microbiome, we can make K1 from K2, just as other animals do. So, the bottom line: eat your greens.

As our new video fact-checker just pointed out, the mg/g values for capsaicin were not for regular fresh peppers, but fresh peppers that were then dried! So, it’s a little more difficult. Instead of “a quarter of a fresh chili pepper,” it sounds more like “one-third of a habanero or 1 teaspoon of medium hot red pepper seasoning.”
