The second week of November (which includes Election Day here in the US) seems surprising, like a thunderbolt that produces clarification of some facts to emerge, as well as a way forward. Not picking sides or saying one of the tracks is the best route, but that’s the picture I see.

And I’m not just talking about collective energy – it’s personal, too. Where in your life are you likely to avoid the reality of the situation? Where would you feel lighter if there was more clarity about the next steps? You better look at it now, before you feel like you have no choice but to consider it.

I’m not asking you to be hypervigilant and anxious, but instead to be curious. If you are Can Think of an area that you ignore intuitionIt is always better to admit the truth to yourself. This does not mean that you have to take action and change course, but it does mean validating your inner child, which in turn creates deeper self-confidence and more clarity about what is happening.

Come the third week of the month, it feels more like settling in as the dust settles. How can you check yourself in a deeper way so you can recalibrate and reassess? This is the time to keep a diary to explain how you feel about everything that has happened in the past two weeks.

Sometimes many different aspects inner child active. A part of you may want to keep ignoring the problem, while another part of you wants to get to the heart of things and be present. Journaling is a great way to prove yourself in the present and give a voice to all those parts that may come up – just don’t forget to validate your feelings and give yourself plenty of self-compassion.
