Part two of our trip to the Outer Banks. Read the first part over here!
We were so lucky with the perfect fall weather!
Temperatures in the 70s were very breezy every day, and the water was warm enough for swimming.
Walking on the beach
I went on many beach walks, my very favorite activity on Earth!
deep fishing
A group of fishermen headed by Mazen went fishing in the deep sea! They got up at five in the morning and were on the water as the sun rose.
Unfortunately they couldn’t get out at sea – it was too rough – but they had a great time on the sound (and they didn’t get seasick)
Mazen was in heaven!
Fresh catch, they got home on the ice for dinner!
Grandpa fried with cornmeal – delicious!
While the group was out hunting, she stayed with Nash and Birch. Then Uncle Clay took them to the beating!
Another day Nonna took them to the aquarium!
Thomas and I ran and walked on the beach while they were away <3
Nona Kite
The coolest kite ever!
Grandpa’s famous pancakes
Sammies Beach
crab night
Mazen’s favorite food!
airless tire
Ugh. Not the best way to end the week! Fortunately, we were able to fix it before the weekend was over.
Celebrate the happy times!
Sunrise Beach Walk
On our last morning, I went for a walk on the beach at sunrise. Soothing and beautiful.
