Like most sneaker brands, ASICS has been upgrading and developing their designs over the years. Despite all modification and change, Nimbus Gel It continues to hold up – and I am constantly impressed.

First, the shoes are incredibly versatile. It is designed for a long time or Short distances (or even walking), so they can be worn for sprints, long distances, and everything in between. This means, if you’re training for a race, you don’t need to buy separate sneakers for fast training and heavy mileage.

I’ll admit I bought a separate pair for walking (because, hot girl walking), but my main thinking was that I didn’t want to wear the sneakers before I took them on a tour of Berlin.

No matter what activity I’m into, I’m a constant fan design impact protection. The sole has enough cushioning for a soft landing, but not so much that it feels heavy. I mean it when I say I could barely feel this stuff on my feet during a marathon (although in the end, I couldn’t feel anything).

Nothing’s much worse than when your feet start to feel hot during a long distance run – but the mesh upper on these shoes is breathable and lightweight. During the summer, I tested them regularly in temperatures over 90 degrees Fahrenheit and my feet stayed cool and breezy. (And yes, it’s great in the snow, too!). Plus, I like to know that at least 30% of the top is made from recycled materials.
