For those who enjoy the change of seasons, fall is amazing. football season No one has made it to the qualifiers yet. The morning call is clear and pure shoes And the flannelsCool nights are best enjoyed with warm drama whiskey. Lest we forget the greatest arrival of all time: pure, fine Oktoberfest beer.
Oktoberfest beer, of course, originated in Germany to accompany the largest brewed beer festival In the world – a well-established tradition since 1810. There are very specific rules regarding beer served at Oktoberfest. Only six breweries in Munich – including Spaten, Paulaner and Löwenbräu – are allowed to produce the so-called Oktoberfestbier. This beer must be above 6% ABV and must be made with water, barley, hops, yeast, wheat malt and/or sugar only.
Until the 1970s, this Oktoberfest was a full-bodied amber lager rich in malt and somewhat bitter. It was then replaced by the Vestebeer, which is essentially a lighter, gold, and more drinkable version of the Marzen.
In America, we’re a little more lenient about the rules when it comes to Oktoberfest beers. American breweries make festivals, marshals, and variations of the two in all colors of the rainbow from amber to gold. But they are not around for long.
Ditch the 60’s and pastries, and here are some of the best marinades and feasts you can find across the country. Prost!
